As always, Funk On The Water features one of our favorite beer releases of the year.
FOTW 2023
This year’s festival beer is a wild ale brewed with Vermont Malthouse Pilsen and Nitty Gritty Grains Redeemer Hard Red Winter Wheat. We fermented and aged the beer in French oak for a year prior to moving onto hand-processed pineapple and guava. Bottle conditioned. 5.0% Alc. By Vol.
FOTW 2023 will be released at 12pm on Friday, september 22nd. $17 / 500ml bottle. Purchases are limited to 3 bottles per person. We will hold an allotment for the opening of the festival on Saturday for guests that cannot make it to town until Saturday.
House of Fermentology Pink Dot 2023
A one and two year old Golden Sour blend fermented and aged in oak. In 2022, we blended these select barrels into a stainless tank, onto fresh raspberries and lemon zest, where it fermented slowly until it was ready for the next stage. Brewed with Pilsen malts from both Vermont Malthouse and Valley Malt. Raw wheat sourced from Nitty Gritty Grains and NEK Grains. Conditioned naturally in the bottle with our own raw Vermont wildflower honey.
House of Fermentology Pink Dot 2023 will be released at 12pm on Friday, september 22nd. $17 / 500ml bottle. Purchases are limited to 3 bottles per person. We will hold an allotment for the opening of the festival on Saturday for guests that cannot make it to town until Saturday.
Natural Hack - Queen of Squares
We start with honey from French Hill Apiary here in Vermont to make our off-dry sparkling mead.
The 2020 season of honey blend we used was nectar from sumac, wildflower, basswood, and clover. The raw honey has a mild flavor and soft finish. Our mead was fermented with a mixed culture in oak and aged in a clay Amphora with fresh Yuzu fruit grown by Bhumi Growers, in New Jersey. We finished the mead with a light sparkle, conditioned naturally in the bottle. Enjoy at room temperature or slightly chilled.
11.4% Alc. By Vol. 100% Gluten Free. No Added Sulfites. May Contain Naturally Occurring Sulfites.
Fermented and bottled by Natural Hack. Natural Hack is a Foam Brewers project located in the barrel cellar at Earthkeep Farmcommon in Charlotte, Vermont. We focus on native yeast and minimal to no intervention in both farming and fermentation practices.
Queen of Squares will be released at the festival at 12pm on Friday, August 12th. $20 / 500ml bottle.
Natural Hack - A Visit to Me
A single varietal sparkling wine made with only organic wild Maine blueberries.
In the fall of 2021 wild organic blueberries from Burke Hill Farm were crushed and fermented in oak with our house mixed culture. Following a long cold fermentation the berries were pressed and the wine was barreled up in fresh toasted oak to age for the next 6-months.
Enjoy at room temperature or slightly chilled.
